Specifications and images of two new HTC
smartphones have leaked on the web, a week ahead of what’s expected to
be the official launch of the devices, on September 20. While the HTC Bliss
has been leaked earlier on numerous occasions, the new leak brings what
are being termed as the official specifications. In the meanwhile, the
other device – the HTC Runnymede – was first spotted a day ago, bearing a
marked similarity to the HTC Titan, with the same massive 4.7-inch S-LCD display, 1.5GHz single-core processor, and 8MP camera.
Both new phones are expected to be the first devices to feature ‘Beats Audio by Dr. Dre’ technology, the first fruits of the recent acquisition
by the Taiwanese giant. The phones are expected to launch by the end of
the month, and should come with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the latest HTC Sense 3.5 UI onboard. Refer to our previous coverage for more details about the new version of Sense.
The long-rumoured HTC Bliss is
reportedly meant to cater to female demographic, and should be a
mid-range offering. The latest specs also reveal the device might come
with what’s being called the ‘Charm indicator’, or, a light-based
notification display accessory. The HTC Runnymede on the other hand is a
top-end device similar to the HTC Titan, and is expected to be priced
at roughly £530 for its 16GB version, and £560 for the 32GB version.
